Three stand out for Ferguson

Terrance Ferguson

Terrance Ferguson has used his size and strong to prove himself as one of the top wings in the 2016 class. Several high major programs have taken notice.

One of the top shooters in the 2016 class is 6-foot-7, 180-pound Dallas Prime Prep wing Terrance Ferguson, who has the size, length and stroke to remain a highly rated recruit long term.

Despite showing improvement in his game this AAU season, Ferguson remains committed to continue to get better in as many facets as possible.

"I'm never happy; I'm trying to be a perfect player and even though it's impossible, I'm trying to reach that goal. I have a lot to work on," Ferguson said.

"My jump shot is connecting now, I'm starting to be able to hit one and two dribble pull-ups; I added that to my game. I have a post game and I'm rebounding more. I'm running the point, getting my teammates involved and just being a better all-around player."

Ferguson listed offers from Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas, SMU, Baylor, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech, with three schools doing the best job with him right now.

"The schools I really like are SMU – Emmanuel (Mudiay) just went there – and Kansas – that's a great program and Bill Self is a great coach," he said. "I also really like Oklahoma State; I'm from there. It's right there for me."

Even tough he likes those schools, Ferguson is much more concerned with his game than his recruitment for the time being.

"I'm not really worried about my recruitment right now," he said. "I'm leaving that up to my parents and my coach."

Look for Ferguson to take his time before getting his recruitment over with.

"I'm not in any hurry at all," Ferguson said. "I'm still in the 10th grade; I still have a lot of time."
