With SMU practices starting tomorrow morning, a lot of questions heading into the season should be answered. One might be coming to light tonight.
The biggest question on the offensive side of the ball this off season has been who will start in place of academically ineligible Josh Leribeus at guard.
While many speculated that it could be true incoming freshman Ben Gottschalk, PonyStampede.com has learned that SMU will pencil in a different starting lineup then originally thought.
Junior Bryce Tennison, who was thought to be moving to center, will stay at guard with Blake McJunkin getting a shot to be in the middle.
Sources told PonyStampede.com that McJunkin has worked extremely hard this off season and has not missed a single voluntary workout.
As a freshman in 2008, McJunkin started the final 10 games at center. He was named to the College Football Top Ten & Pegasus News All-DFW College Football Team.
Gottschalk and Jordan Favreau will work the guard position in case Tennison ends up having to slide over to center.
