A 2010 Offered Visitor For The Sellout

Regarded as one of the best offensive lineman in the state of Louisiana, this guard will be hitting SMU this weekend for the SFA game. With two 5A state championships in Louisiana, all Destrehan guard Ashton Duhe knows how to do is win. Regarded as one of the best lineman in the state for the 2010 recruiting class, Duhe has some options.

"I have offers from pretty everyone in Louisiana besides LSU. I've been hearing from LSU, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, ULL, Auburn, Nebraska, Michigan, Southern Miss and SMU," said Duhe. "I want to go to a school with a nice tradition and the coaches need to be good. The facilities have to be nice and the school has to be committed to football."

Duhe saw his interest from SMU spike in the summer and now is interested in learning more about them. This weekend, he will be in the stands for SMU's sellout against Stephen F. Austin.

"I'm going to check out things on Saturday. I have never seen the campus or the stadium. A couple of my friends told me it's pretty nice, so I'm ready to see how it is. I'm pretty excited," stated the 2010 prospect to PonyStampede.com. "As far as the schools that have offered me, my favorites are ULL, SMU, and Louisiana Tech."

Expecting to take his time when it comes to his college decision, Duhe is planning on taking all of his official visits. At 6'3, 305 pounds, the senior is hoping to see his recruiting pick up even more. While being named 1st team all-state last year was nice for offensive lineman, he would have traded it all for continued team success. Destrehan has been undefeated during his time in school.

"I got All-State last year, so it would be great to get it again. That said, I really want to win state again. I want three peat," said Duhe. "I think my team is ready. We are clicking on offense. We worked really hard during camp. The defense isn't bad. We are ready and roaring to go."

Currently he benches over 400 pounds and can squat 505. Currently he is being projected as a guard at the next level. PonyStampede.com will have more on Duhe next week after his visit.
