One thing is for sure, June Jones is busy on the road recruiting and it appears the first year head coach is eating well while on the road.
Coach Jones and his assistant coaches have been making home visits for the last few weeks; one of the benefits of getting to know the families is getting invited to dinner.
"Coach Jones and Coach (Jeff) Reinebold came by last Monday night and had dinner with our family," SMU commit Ben Hughes said. "They weren't bashful when it came to eating. It was a great time, the got to meet my entire family; we loved having them in our home."
Hughes, an offensive lineman from Houston Stephen F. Austin High School, committed to the Mustangs over the summer.
"There is no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision," Hughes said. "I love the coaching staff and it's just the perfect fit for me."
Hughes continues to be impressed by Coach Jones and Coach Reinebold.
"They have both made me feel very comfortable around them," Hughes said. "I can't wait to get there and get ready for a great career at SMU."
According to Hughes, he isn't taking any other official visits, but will take an official to the Hilltop next month.
