Frazier to have three years to play at SMU
Fighting through adversity is something that Navarro Junior College defensive tackle Marquis Frazier is learning to deal with. Frazier learned Wednesday that he will not be able to help contribute to his junior college team this fall. His doctor didn't released him to play this season, the upside to the news is that he will have three years to play at the D1 level at SMU. "I was mad at first when they told me," Frazier told PonyStampede.com. "Then I realized it what's best for my career." Frazier called the SMU coaches to tell them the news. "They have been very supportive of me," Frazier said. "They have told me from day one to do what was best for me and my future. Now that I have three years to play there, it's going to be the best deal. They have stood by me regardless of my injury." Frazier is expected to be recovered and released by January, allowing him to participate in spring practices at SMU.
