Prestin Brown of Grand Prairie High school has been working hard this off season dropping his 40 time by more than two tenths and gaining over ten pounds. The defensive end says, "Since I have been working in our Summer Success Program, my 40 time is down to 4.7, I weigh 233, and my weight lifting maxes have gone up between 10 and 15 pounds."
He is gearing up for his senior season and says, "I believe we can win more games than last year, and make the playoffs. I also want to show recruiters that I am bigger, stronger, and faster than I was last year, and I am an overall better football player."
Prestin is a 1st Team All District Academic, and his SAT scores have qualified him to attend major universities. Brown has been in Texas since 2000, but is willing to entertain offers from schools outside the state, saying "I will have to go with the school that makes the best offer, and I am working hard for a scholarship."
Brown would like everyone to know, "I never stop working and I never go less than 100% in games, practice, the weight room, or anything else. I want to be the best player, teammate, captain, and person that I possibly can, and I want recruiters to know that I have a lot to offer as a person as well as a football player."
Brown understands the importance of hard work and unselfishness, and is excited to showcase his talents on the football field this season.
