Although Doak Raulston didn't get his name from the legendary Heisman Trophy winner and one the Mustang's all time greats Doak Walker, the talented quarterback from Ft. Worth Episcopal School.

According to the Scout.com three star rated quarterback, he is the fourth generation of Doaks in family. Although he didn't get the name from the Doak Walker, he still has admiration and respect and loves bearing his name.

"I have always been asked if I was named after Doak Walker," Raulston told PonyStampede.com Friday morning. "It's a great name that I have always been proud of for many reasons."

Raulston recently attended SMU's junior day camp earlier this month and came away impressed with the campus and the coaches.

"I like the coaches a lot," Raulston said. "I love the offense they are running it's the perfect offense for a quarterback. I did ok at the camp, I wished I could have gotten in a few more throws, but there were so many guys there."

Raulston is very familiar with the SMU campus, his grandparents both attended school there and he has been on the campus many times.

"It's one of the prettiest campuses I have seen," Raulston said. "I have a lot of friends that go to school there."

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete that runs a 4.7 forty recently received his first official offer from Air Force.

"It's pretty exciting to get your first offer," Raulston said. "They are definitely my earlier favorite. My coach feels there will be many more to follow that one."

The one offer that Raulston would love to get is one from SMU.

"I would love an offer from SMU," Raulston said. "The coaches gave me some great feedback from camp, we will just have to wait and see."

Raulston carries a 3.6 G.P.A. and has already scored a 1650 on the SAT.
