Playing on the Class 5A state championship team can’t help but to get you noticed.
When you play the game like defensive lineman Siosaia Tuipulotu it’s easy to see why his Euless Trinity team went 15-1 and won the state championship.
According to Tuipulotu, he plays with a lot of heart and a lot of passion.
“My motor is always running,” Tuipulotu said. “I love to attack the football.”
Tuipulotu, a 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive tackle that runs a 4.9 forty, earned First Team All-District honors.
The standout defender currently has five offers including schools such as Purdue, Utah, Nebraska, BYU and SMU.
“Right now Utah is by far my favorite school,” Tuipulotu said. “I have some interest in SMU; I want to get to know their coaches. I know they did great things at Hawaii. What I like about Utah is that I’m a Mormon and I can do my mission and they will hold my scholarship for me.”
Tuipulotu plans on attending summer camps at Utah, an all Polynesian Camp and hopes to go to one of SMU’s one day camps.
“I have a lot of respect for Coach Jones,” Tuipulotu said. “SMU is a good school.”
