Though SMU's spring season has just begun, new wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Jason Phillips has already made a good first impression. Aside from his offensive schematics, it's the coach's energy and enthusiasm that could be the biggest difference on this team come fall.

Where most coaches stand and give orders, Phillips is out there sweating alongside his players—acting as quarterback, defensive back, wide receiver…anything and everything. The guy is 45 years young.
