today," said Braden Meador
. "Took a quick tour of the athletic facilities, which look awesome. We then watched the scrimmage - after player meetings - and watched the guys hit the weight room.
"Coach (Art) Briles and (Randy) Clements seemed like good guys and were excited to see me. I'm off to Rice on Friday."
Meador, who holds an offer from Houston, also attended Junior Day at Texas Tech.
Montgomery went 12-2 in 2010 and went four rounds deep in the Class 4A Division I playoffs before running into Friendswood. The only other loss for the Bears came to Brenham. Montgomery's potent offense, led by Meador up front, scored a minimum of 30 points in 11 games and reached the 60-point threshold in two.
