Klemm Pulls In Another Cali Recruit

PonyStampede.com has learned that SMU offensive line coach and California recruiting guru has struck again, this time landing offensive tackle Taylor Reich.

PonyStampede.com has learned and confirmed that California offensive lineman Taylor Reich has committed to SMU.

The nation's No. 121 offensive tackle had offers from UTEP and felt Nevada was just days away from offering, after visiting there this weekend.

"I just told Coach Klemm that I wanted to commit to the program. That I wanted to be a Mustang," said Reich. "He's a great coach. I'm excited that the decision is over. I'm ready to get going."

Scout.com's Brandon Huffman, West Regional Manger, had this to say about Reich:

"He's a little raw, but has the upside to be a good offensive tackle in college. Probably projects better to being a right tackle, then a left. He's good in pass protection and solid in run blocking.

With his frame, he could probably still end up with another 20-30 pounds on him and play tackle in college at around 315."

PonyStampede.com will have more on Reich's commitment tomorrow.
