There is no doubt as National Signing day inches closer and closer, the top target left on the SMU recruiting board is Dontae Levingston. The Narbonne High School (CA) high school lineman has narrowed his choices down to SMU, Oregon, and Washington and is just left the Hilltop a little while ago with his second official visit in the books.

"It was a great weekend. The campus was beautiful and everything," said Levingston who has visited the Hilltop before. "Hanging out with Coach Klemm was definitely the highlight of my trip. Hanging out Klemm and Devon (Moreland) was awesome. Coach Jones was really laid back and it made the trip pretty easy."

Not only was it a crucial weekend for the Mustangs hooking up Levingston and SMU quarterback commitment Conner Preston again, but it was important to get the 3-star lineman in front of other SMU offensive line recruits.

"I got a long with everyone. I already knew Kris (Weeks) and Taylor (Lasecki), but I was able to meet with everyone else like Carter Wall and Alex Mitchell. It was a good time," said Levingston. "We all talked about how we could come in as an offensive line and dominant for four years."

"The game showed me that there will be a big chance for us to come in early and play. All of us. That excites me."

The senior has already visited Washington (a place where he has former HS teammates) and plans to visit Oregon in the coming weeks. Sometime after his visit to Eugene, he will make a decision.

"With them being number one in the polls, it does give Oregon sort of an advantage, because they're on national TV frequently, but at the same time, if you can't come in and play early, then what's the point?" Levingston remarked last week to PonyStampede.com's Mike Coppage.

Expect a more in-depth interview in the coming days with Levingston.
