Dallas-born prodigy making waves in Florida

It sounds like a fairy tale, but it actually happened recently in Florida. Freshman QB John Wolford, who was born in Dallas, walked onto the field and promptly connected on a 77-yard TD pass on the first attempt of his career. Wolford's gone on to show that the aforementioned bomb was no fluke, as the ninth-grader has been on a tear with his precision passing.

Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, Fl.) began the season 0-3, but the Crusaders have reeled off two consecutive wins behind the pinpoint passing of freshman phenom John Wolford. "Last week, we beat Clay County, 22-21," said Wolford, who was born in Dallas. "They're a really good team. I was 25-for-30 passing for 270 yards with three touchdowns.
